This week, Ellie has been a bit more predictable and happier, which has made working and taking care of her at the same time a little easier. She just loves to smile, especially when she wakes up.

Celebrating Ellie making it to 2 months

To celebrate Ellie making it to 2 months, Martina and I went to have some dinner and a glass of wine. Without her.

Ok, so it might not have been with the express intention of celebrating this milestone, but it happened to fall on the same day, so we can at least pretend that we’re going out for a reason other than to enjoy some time without her!

In all seriousness though, this is the first time that Martina and I are going on a date together since we had Ellie. Oma was kind enough to look after her, now that she’s taking bottles with ease. So we’re taking advantage of it and going to enjoy dinner and a few glasses (bottles) of wine together.

We did it! We survived for two full months. And to show for it, Ellie is about 2-3 lbs heavier, smiley, giggly and has started to grow in her hair.

I’ve grown quite attached to my little Ellie and I love waking up with her and coming home to her after work. She the bestest.

It took us a while to even get a photo like this, but here are Ellie’s tiny fingers wrapped around my index finger.

Tornadoes

I just got scared because I thought that was a tornado. I don’t even have time to deal with a tornado right now.

My favorite time of day

My favorite time of day is whenever Ellie has just woken up or she has just been fed, and she’s in a dozy, comatose mood and she just wants to snuggle right up to you.
