We’re very thankful to have such generous people in Ellie’s life, and we truly appreciate anyone who wishes to buy her a gift.
With that in mind though, we’re not raising Ellie in a “conventional” fashion and there are certain things that we’d rather Ellie did not have, or that she simply cannot have.
These mainly revolve around our desire to raise a low-media, vegan, creative, intelligent child.
We know that this puts additional burden on people looking to buy Ellie gifts, so for those who are struggling to find an appropriate gift, there are several options. Above all, you could come and spend time with Ellie and make some memories with her: we value experiences more than gifts because they last longer and are more personal. You could donate to her savings fund, or send her money so that she can pick out her own gift. And lastly you don’t have to buy a gift: it really wouldn’t hurt our feelings if you decided not to buy something: it’s more important to us that Ellie have things that agree with our values, so we will not be upset if you decided not to buy something instead.
With all that said, it’s not like we’re being overly restrictive, so for those who are looking to buy Ellie a present, we put together a little guide, and there’s certainly plenty of things that you could get her.
