Devouring corn

When we give Ellie something to eat that isn’t soft or pureed but that is harder to eat – for instance, corn on the cob – she performs this hilarious manoeuvre where she digs in with her teeth and does this clenchy-head-shaky thing to try and break off a piece to eat. Eating chips (dipping chips in ketchup and eating the ketchup) [VIDEO]

I got this video along with a couple of others today while I was at work, and I just found it pretty funny. Ellie always does this on the rare occasion that she gets chips (fries). If you put some ketchup on there (or let her do it herself as Martina did here), she’ll just suck the ketchup off the chip and send it back for more ketchup, like it’s some sort of Double Dip. Early daddy daughter date

Since the clocks changed this morning and Ellie couldn’t have cared less, she, and by extension I, were up at 6.30, so I seized the opportunity to let Martina have a lie-in and grab some breakfast at Dunkin’ Donuts before going for a (chilly) walk on the beach
