If there’s one food that Ellie has rallied around, it’s avocados. She’ll regularly eat half of one after a meal and has been known to eat a whole one or more, several times a day! Continue reading “Avocado monster”
We pulled out a little chair that Ellie used to use for Jack, since he is about ready to start sitting up, but as soon as Ellie saw it, she wanted back in it. She’s definitely a bit bigger than when she was last in it but she ate dinner in it nonetheless. Continue reading “A throwback to a day gone by”
When acknowledging and encouraging good behaviours, “good job, Ellie” seems to have become our phrase of choice. So much so that when Ellie does something well, she praises herself with this phrase. Continue reading “Good job Ellie [VIDEO]”
While Jack and Martina took a well deserved nap, Ellie and I decided to make dinner. She’s quite a good assistant in the kitchen, except she keeps munching the food before it’s ready! Continue reading “Cooking with Daddy”
While noshing on a pear at Oma’s house, Oma managed to get this great picture of Ellie with a cheeky little grin on her face. Continue reading “Cheeky grin”
Like a boss. Continue reading “Eat a bagel”
When we give Ellie something to eat that isn’t soft or pureed but that is harder to eat – for instance, corn on the cob – she performs this hilarious manoeuvre where she digs in with her teeth and does this clenchy-head-shaky thing to try and break off a piece to eat. Continue reading “Devouring corn”
I got this video along with a couple of others today while I was at work, and I just found it pretty funny. Ellie always does this on the rare occasion that she gets chips (fries). If you put some ketchup on there (or let her do it herself as Martina did here), she’ll just suck the ketchup off the chip and send it back for more ketchup, like it’s some sort of Double Dip. Continue reading “Eating chips (dipping chips in ketchup and eating the ketchup) [VIDEO]”
Since the clocks changed this morning and Ellie couldn’t have cared less, she, and by extension I, were up at 6.30, so I seized the opportunity to let Martina have a lie-in and grab some breakfast at Dunkin’ Donuts before going for a (chilly) walk on the beach
I’ve been a bit lax with getting photos on here lately, so to compensate, here’s a gallery with a bunch of adorable photos for you.
Ellie also had her 15-month checkup and she’s growing nicely. She’s right at 20 lbs (9 kg) and a little over 31 in (79 cm) long.
