I swear that this was not posed, but Ellie really likes to put her hands by her ears (like she’s on the phone), or behind her head. She’ll be heading to the beach before we know it.

Ellie doing all kinds of different things
Stop making breastfeeding weird
Even before I left the UK, people were starting to get a bit weird about breastfeeding in public, but it was still fairly commonplace.
After moving to the States, I’ve realised that it’s an action which is much more taboo on this side of the pond, which infuriates me to no end.
Martina showed me a blog post about it recently that sums up exactly how I feel about it, so I encourage you to read it and actively support breastfeeding mothers and stand against bigots who see naturally nourishing your child as some sort of shameful act.
Ellie smiling and laughing [VIDEO]
Ellie has started becoming very smily and giggly in the past few days. When she’s in that mood, it’s easy to spend 30 minutes with her, doing whatever you can to get one more smile out of her Continue reading “Ellie smiling and laughing [VIDEO]”
Daddy’s (snoozy) little girl
We’ve had to start putting bibs on Ellie, not to catch food, but to catch drool. She can produce bucketfuls in mere minutes!
Ellie’s cute noises
When Ellie is very happy, like when she’s breastfeeding, or when she’s drifting off or just waking up, she makes these especially cute sounds, which we just had to record.
Smiling in her swaddle
Ellie is looking especially cute in this photo. It now adorns my phone background.
Chilling with Daddy after her bath
I love it when Ellie has a bath, or a really good feeding, and is just so content, that she snuggles right up to me. Best.
Ellie still loves bath time
Ellie just loves taking baths! She never fusses and she just sits there and enjoys getting pampered.
Week 3 Photo Roundup
This week, Ellie has been getting more confident with her movement, her head control is getting better, her hair is getting longer and she’s starting to get some breast-fed-fat-rolls.
Hands-free Dad
Ellie has wanted to be a bit closer to us, so instead of just holding her and immobilising myself all day long, I took out her carrier, the Baby K’Tan, and went hands-free. It’s fantastic: she’s close, which we both like and I can get stuff done. Win-win.
