Since we’re heading back to England for Christmas this year, we had lunch with a family friend (Karli) yesterday and opened a couple of presents while we are still in Florida.
The other day, Oma decided that Moe should step in and start playing catch with Ellie, which was a huge hit! Continue reading “Playing catch with Moe [VIDEO]”
Oma has figured that Ellie loves to roll around on the bed and be pulled back from crawling away. Ellie just can’t stop giggling when she does! Continue reading “Trying to escape from Oma [VIDEO]”
This morning, Ellie and I took Oma to the airport and while we were there, we went up to the roof to see some planes taking off, and then rode the monorail for a few trips. Ellie got to sit up front and she looks like she’s driving in this picture.
On Saturday, we had just a few family and friends get together to celebrate Ellie’s 1st birthday, which was on Wednesday. She had a blast playing with the other kids, being doted on and opening some presents.

Ellie had a bath the other night, and Oma was around to help out, which Ellie was only too happy about.
Marti and I had an engagement today, so Oma looked after Ellie. She was definitely happy to see us though.
Yesterday, we went on the hunt for a Christmas tree, and Ellie made sure to participate in the selection process. It turned out quite nice in the end, we think.
This is one of my favourite videos of Ellie so far, and the reason that I enjoy being a parent so much. It’s hard to explain to someone who’s not a parent, because I never got it before either, but being able to do this with your kid is pretty magical.
