We’re thrilled to have Ellie and we know that many of you want to visit her and Martina, so we’d love to have you over so that we can introduce you.
With that said, there’s a few ground rules that I’d kindly ask you to follow:
- Please don’t show up unannounced. All three of us are exhausted and catching up on sleep. Please arrange for a convenient time to come over with Dave (Martina won’t really be available by phone or otherwise).
- You’ll be asked to wash your hands when you get here. It’s not that you’re particularly dirty, but we just need to protect Ellie’s still-fragile immune system for the first several weeks.
- Please keep your visit short. 30-60 minutes will be about all we can manage to account for feedings and then getting back to sleep.
- By all means, bring cameras if you want photos.
For those who aren’t able to meet her in person (thinking mostly of people in England), we’d love to speak to you on Skype or FaceTime. Feel free to add me (@daclements) and send me an IM so that we can find a good time for you to “meet” Ellie.
